new customer question - do I have to cancel my AT&T voice ?

I just got ported today, everything works great, 8Mbit in the inner sunset in san francisco! Voice seems great too

Hopefully simple question: Do I have to call AT&T to cancel my phone line account with them or did the port effectively do that?

If your order with us moved your old AT&T phone number over to us, your old phone service should get canceled out automatically and a check will be cut for you for any outstanding balance in your favor. We've found them to be quite reliable on this.

That said, once you're confirmed as up and running on Fusion and are receiving and making calls, we recommend calling up your old voice provider and requesting a final bill. It doesn't hurt to make sure they've finalized things.
