Every now and then, there's a bit of good news about unsolicited telemarketing. Here's one:

Have you ever gotten a call offering a free cruise? If so, you might be part of a settlement class, and eligible for $300 to $900. News here: http://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation- ... 31957.html

Check your number by selecting the third option on this page, and putting in your ten-digit telephone number: https://www.rmgtcpasettlement.com/Landing.aspx

Wow thanks. My cell phone is not in their database but my home phone is and I filed a claim. I know for sure we've had calls about a "free cruise." Dozens of them IIRC. I have no idea about the company but it must be this one if I'm in the database.

I wish we could do something now about the thousands of spam emails I get from orgs around Sonoma County all because the North Bay Business Journal and others bought a bogus database (I get emails to many made up user names on my domain, plus some real user names). NBBJ admitted what they did but refused to remove my domain from their database (they sent me like 7 newspapers every week too but at least stopped doing that).
