ATA to LAN Connection

I have just installed Fusion FTTN service. I have a wired Gigabit LAN network behind the Pace 5268AC using the DMZplus mode to my Airport Extreme routers. The primary Airport Extreme handles the wired network in my home. The second is used to extend my WiFi network for better coverage in my house.

Must the ATA be connected directly into a LAN port on the 5268AC as per the setup instructions, or can it be run off of my wired LAN network (behind the primary AE)?

I'd expect it'd work fine connected to the Airport instead.

No. I have mine connected to an interface on my pfSense box and it works fine...

I have mine connected to a router that's behind the Pace 5268AC and it works fine.
