I had an account/service under my name, I moved out and mom set up her card for autopay, cards were stolen and autopay was never updated. Service is now canceled. They've had the number for 27 years, it's a number many people know specially family overseas.
I contacted support, but the person didn't seem interested in helping.

The end result they stated is that there's nothing they can do, and I will be put on a waitlist once Sonic service is offered in my area. What?
Central Office SNFCCA04 is about 4 blocks from me, Sonic stated throughout the years that I'm on their equipment and not AT&T's... but support said number is now with AT&T?

Is there anything else that can be done, or have any assistance on this? I'm just a customer and don't know what next steps to take.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hello,

I deeply apologize for the experience you had with our support team. I can assist you with this. Is the email address on this account still valid for me to contact you that way? We can get things straightened out for you ASAP. I just need to verify some points on the account to better serve you. I look forward to straightening this out with you. I'll look for your response soon. Take care.

Kind Regards,

We were able to locate your account and "free" your number so it's available to move to your next service provider. If you have any trouble making this request, just let us know here or by calling our support team so we can provide additional details if needed. Take Care.

Thank you so much!
Hopefully the right phone number ending in ...843 for account a*******ng?
We would love it if it could be reactivated with Sonic.

How can we go forward with the proper details needed?
Apologies for my late response, I am overseas and internet is wonky.

EDIT: Missed the part about the e-mail, will reply there.

You're welcome! I can confirm we were able to "free" the correct number and it should be available to port to your new provider. Unfortunately, we no longer have services available at your location. That number was tied to a DSL service which utilized AT&Ts infrastructure. We are no longer contracted with AT&T and can no longer provide service at that location. Hopefully we can reach you with one of our many Fiber expansions soon!

To add some detail here, we can no longer provide service at that location because of an FCC decision during the prior administration which dismantled the regulations allowing competitive access to copper loops. Today we have a petition for reconsideration before the FCC, but because a fifth commissioner has still not been confirmed, the FCC is deadlocked and can do little.
