Will NomoRobo ever be changed to actually block spam calls?

NomoRobo only seems capable of blocking legitimate calls. Last Thursday, I received 18 spam calls - all from the same area code and prefix as my number - all from the spammers that claim to be from Amazon. The first 15 were picked up by my answering machine, one went to Sonic Voicemail since the phone was apparently busy at the time and I answered the 16th and 17th calls. It wasn't until I'd been on the phone long enough with the spammer that they stopped calling.

It won't do any good to report the numbers since they're all spoofed. Is NomoRobo ever going to be updated? It's literally to the point where I wonder why I still have a landline.

Nomorobo is designed to stop annoying robocalls and spam calls from blowing up your phone. All Fusion Voice customers are subscribed to it by default and may opt out by disabling the option "Spam Call Blocking" in Voice Options Member tool. A blocked calling party will receive a standard "We're sorry, the number cannot be completed as dialed" error message.

However, as you mentioned because these numbers were spoofed, this creates another layer of intricacy. When the number is spoofed the caller is deliberately falsifying the information displayed to your caller ID. These individuals often use a local spoofing technique, so it appears that an incoming call is coming from a local number.

In regard to an update to Nomorobo for spoofed calls there are no current updates but any time Sonic can prevent spam and make your customer experience more beneficial we will take steps to do so.

I too am getting bombarded with robo calls, primarily fraudulent Amazon order SPAM. Seriously, I can't tell that there is *any* protection on my land line. The unwanted call rejection on my Android cell phone is worlds better!

Can Sonic at least reach out to NomoRobo and convey the level of dissatisfaction your customers have with the quality of their service? Or evaluate alternative call blocking providers?
