At my old house, I had an ONT (looked like this https://help.sonic.com/hc/en-us/article ... Adtran-411). I plugged a regular old telephone in and it just worked. No setup whatsoever.

At my new house, I have a BGW320 (https://help.sonic.com/hc/en-us/article ... RIS-BGW320). Now when I plug my telephone in, I hear nothing; it doesn't work at all.

Do I need to do something here?

The BGW320 means you are now on resold ATT fiber, rather than Sonic's own fiber, and the voice service works a little differently. Sonic should have sent you an Analog Telephone Adapter, which plugs into one of the ethernet ports on the router, rather than just connecting the phone directly to the router or ONT:

Look like api already beat me to the punch here!

Like he mentioned, the BGW320 is provided to customer's using our resold AT&T Fiber service. In which case, you'll now need to plug in the Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) to the BGW320 via Ethernet, then plug your phone into the ATA.

If you need any help setting up the ATA or run into any issues, please give our tech support team a call at (707)-547-3400 between 8am-10pm any day.
