I have searched forum for requests to support wildcard blocking, they are quite a few of them, dating back to 2013, and I am seeing NO PROGRESS, you still don't support it. To some of these requests you guys replied that, like, yes, it's a good idea, but you did NOTHING. I am having really hard time understanding why are you ignoring them, your inactivity is really annoying. May I ask - are there any customer requests / feedbacks that you followed up on and actually implemented?

Hi mityaha,

We appreciate suggestions and will actively implement features when we can to improve the service. At this time that feature could get implemented, but it is not currently being worked on and there is no ETA.

Hi Brian W,

Please read your reply carefully, I recommend you to brush your English.

Hi mityaha,

Brian may have rushed posting without re-reading it, but I think the meaning of the post is clear enough. I believe telling someone to "brush your English" is not appropriate especially if your own posts are not without errors.

Hi mityaha,

I have edited my above post to make it more clear. That feature could happen in the future, it is not currently being worked on, there is no ETA on when and if that will get implemented.

brian,
why even respond to silly messages like this from users who just try to troll people.
Sonic doesn't owe users any roadmap or explanation on when or if a customer-suggested feature request gets scheduled/implemented.
Any blocking work might be a waste of time, given the FCC requirement to implement the STIR/SHAKEN framework, which will hopefully take care of most spam calls (since almost all of them are spoofed right now).

I have to agree, wildcard blocking would be a tremendous help in this era of Caller ID spoofing.

Today (29 May 2021) I posted on the Spam Callers to Block thread, that a family member with Sonic FTTN has received 13, (mostly Same-exchange) Spoofed ID voicemails in one afternoon, with the identical message. 2 more have come in since I posted.

This is an unacceptable amount of spam calls for one day, and we would like Sonic to acknowledge the inconvenience its customers are experiencing, and consider implementing Wildcard call blocking as a measure to help, rather than just leaving us to be harassed until such time as Shaken and Stirred is finally implemented.

If 90 % of calls are spam, what is the point of continuing our phone service?

Thank you!
