I have one line here that's supplied by Comcast. When I dial *69, a recording tells me the number that last called and the date and time it was received. I then have to press '1' to have it actually place a call to that number.

Just got spammed from 1-849-963-4854 (Dominican Republic).
Are the bad guys resorting to offshore numbers to avoid any blacklists?

Robospammers have been very actively calling me several times a day with this CID this week: 213-634-0919

Here's the automated transcript from Sonic's wonderful new transcript by email service. I love it!

"Mitch here there is been a significant Verizon. The number of senior citizen suffering debt and serious life threatening injuries from a delay in response times for medical emergency fire burglary or even a simple fall. The American heart Association and the American diabetic Association our purchase all seniors to get a personal life saving emergency medical alert system for their home for the first time. The senior medical adviser is providing senior citizens with this life saving emergency medical alert equipment at no charge to seniors. Press one now to find out how was just one push of a button. You can have a life certified emergency medical technicians on the line to help you into a second. Again press one now and you will never have to feel helpless worried or by yourself in an emergency situation press five now to be removed from our senior medical advisory calling list."

Whack 'em if you can.

Thanks.

That's cool. It sounds like Comcast is thinking outside the box.

Can you get anything other than the number that most recently called you?

I hadn't actually looked, so I logged into my XFinity account and followed the links to see my phone activity. Right there, I have the opportunity to select:

A. Voicemail
B. Trash
C. Incoming calls I missed
D. Incoming calls I answered
E. Outgoing calls I placed

There's a full history of name, number, duration and date/time of all calls. Since I have my own answering system, there aren't any voicemails or trash, but the last three are filled with full information.

A little history on my first two phone numbers. I originally signed up both numbers with Comcast as part of a triple play package. What I didn't know (wasn't told at the time) is that Forward-on-Busy (call hunting) is not available for residential customers. It's only available for business customers. And, for business customers, both lines in the hunt group must be Comcast business numbers. Of course, if I did that, then I wouldn't be eligible for the triple-play package on the residential side (even though it's the same company). Argh!

What I ended up doing was pulling my primary number from Comcast (leaving the 2nd line to enable the triple-play), and moving it to ViaTalk VoIP. ViaTalk has all the features available, including the various flavors of Call Forwarding.

Edit: Full call logs (in and out) are also logged on my ViaTalk line. They also have multiple ways to block or reroute incoming calls.

That is similar to what I see on Google Voice. I have the same five options. Since that's the number I give to others, all of my incoming calls (answered or missed) are listed there. My outgoing calls are available through Fusion's and my call carrier's logs.

Here are some robo calls I wish you would block. My phone allows me to block a certain number of callers but it's running out of space. Thanks.

Thanks for the list, we'll review them. Meanwhile, you might want to go ahead and flush them out of your phone to make room for new ones.
