Robo-call telemarketer. Seems like all the spam calls I get these past few weeks are for either "energy audits" or alarm systems.

Law enforcement should start prosecuting Do Not Call List violators.

Telemarketer, professional cold caller fishing for leads, gave company name as "BH Contractor, Better Homes." Calls repeatedly, about once or twice a week, using several different numbers. Annoying. We never respond to cold calls. We are on the do-not-call list. We have asked them to add us to their internal do-not-call list. They continue to call. Illegal telemarketing.

One of the commenters on 800notes.com mentions that it got thru his nomorobo setup.

Just another customer here, not staff -- but a reminder:

It takes the staff a while to confirm a problem, and
the number caller-ID shows is not always the truth, and
so they can't immediately block a specific number just on your say-so

This stuff isn't simple.

Ankh, you seem to know a lot about how Sonic staff do their job. If the number and/or CID is spoofed, how do they block the calls? What kind of research do they do and by what means do they do it?

So it may not be spoofed. But if it is, as Sonic can see this number, I would hope that they could block it somehow. I gave a website with pages of reports about this number that I hope would help. Many other websites report this number.

It was after 11 PM. I fear that a Sonic customer might fall for this kind of late night scare and let them on to their computer.
