Does anyone know how i can request a /48 address block from sonic.net
Im trying to setup a ipv6 network similar to the this setup http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:My ... v6_Network

and looks like since some of my machines will be behind a router , i will need a /48 address block but i don't see anyway of requesting that on sonic's website.

The /60 that our tunnel server will route to you is more than big enough and contains plenty of /64's for you. You should be able to follow the mikrotik example as a template for you config.

as per the instructions on http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:My ... v6_Network
looks like there is a special address for /48 & /64 are different then what i would get at sonic.net
so any ideas how i can get the exact address corresponding to example image which has Routed/48 & Routed/64

im guessing i need to use 2001:05a8:0004:8670:0000:0000:0000:0000/60

That's the idea. Did you get this working?

No i was unable to setup my home network which is behind a firewall to be able to access the internet on multiple machines in my lan .That is most likely due to my lack of debugging skills on tunnels etc.i tried on multiple hosts both on Linux and Windows but unable to connect it behind a dd-wrt router(the router gets pulic ipv6 address).

However i have always been able to access sonic.net's tunnel on a single machine setup .

So i will wait for more detailed instructions for setting up a home lan on an ipv6 network.

I'm not 100% sure I understand the problem you're encountering but based of your example the subnets you want to use for "Lan segment address blocks" in the mikrotik example would be:

1 2001:5a8:4:8670::1/64
2 2001:5a8:4:8671::1/64
3 2001:5a8:4:8672::1/64
4 2001:5a8:4:8673::1/64

With RA enabled (the advertise=yes) you shouldn't need to configure the hosts it should just work. I'm not sure how this translates in dd-wrt though.

In the mikrotik example they are showing the /48 broken down to the /64 level and you can do the same with a /60 it is just fewer bits/subnets. I hope this helps.
