Struggling with OpenVPN client on Asuswrt-Merlin

I've been struggling with trying to get the OpenVPN client on Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 to work. I've used the client.ovpn file on other devices, but I've had no luck with this router. Here's my log:

On a different note, would it be possible to use a third-party DNS server with the VPN instead of Sonic's defaults? I'd like to use AdGuard DNS.

Try changing the protocol to UDP.
