I can send a fax to my FaxLine number but I never get an email with the fax. The calling number does get logged in the FaxLine History. The Notes column in the log says "pages received" without any page count.

If I call my FaxLine number from a voice phone, I hear what seems to be a normal fax tone (this also gets logged in the FaxLine History).

Probably not relevant, but sending a fax works fine.

Try sending a fax to your own faxline number?

I am having the same problem. Multiple faxes in log, varying from blank to zero pages received. Can view these in log, but no email being forwarded. My fax line has worked for years. This is a new problem as of last week.
Please advise. I use this for my work and have to have it functioning. When I send a fax to myself I do receive it. Technical support at Sonic this evening was able to send me a fax successfully tonight.

For what it's worth I also have the same problem with Sonic's fax service - when fax messages are received I never receive the email message with the attachment. This used to work. In case the problem was related to sending email to a specific domain I have tried adding many different email recipients - none receive the faxes. I also very carefully checked the spam folder on each email account - nope, not in the spam folder.

Essentially in April or May 2015 it looks like the SMTP (email sending) component of the faxline service stopped working.

I opened a support ticket (#3154830) with sonic but they just say "Unfortunately, fax service is a labs feature and is therefore not supported. If you would like additional help with the issue, please go to forums.sonic.net and make a post about the issue."

It's a piety that Sonic tech support cannot be bothered to fix it.

I am having the same problem. When a company offers a service, it should be concerned when there is a glitch.
I have no clue how to address this and do rely on the fax.

If the fax transmission fails (indicated by a status of [blank] pages received) then no email will be sent out, as nothing was received to send. If you are having a problem with this service please post here, and include what date and time the expected fax was sent, and to/from which number, and we will do our best to assist. Please keep in mind that this is a labs (beta) service and should not be depended on for business critical purposes.

This is not an _expected_ fax. I'd guess it's fax spam (first one this year).
I'm not posting our fax number, figuring you know it from our account name.

Oops. that unexpected fax -- 1 page, got the email, didn't get any fax -- was from
510-225-1167

and it's to our fax number for user "ankh" -- which I presume Sonic folks can look up, right?

AHA -- a clue.

The email with the fax should have gone to both the "ankh" account and to another email account, rg----ey@sonic.net.

And it did go to the latter account with the one page attachment.

Which was indeed junk spam, some kind of real estate spam, and my partner had just deleted it.

I can retrieve it if Sonic folks can use it.

Main point -- Lab is set up to send the fax to the primary account and a second account here -- only the latter got the fax content .
