My Sonic Pace 4111N always showed Annex A regardless of what profile I was using at the time.

With Annex A I sync at 20,991/1,339 (12.5dB Attenuation and 6.1 SNR). With Annex M I sync at 14,619/2,440 (21.5dB Attenuation and 6.0 SNR). I'm somewhere around 1000-2000ft. I rarely use Annex A.

We have added configurable "Fastpath" to the profile settings in the Labs section. The standard configuration is "Interleaved", which provides some error resilience and increases line stability a lot, but for those who want to experiment with Fastpath for lower latency, it's now available. Be aware that Fastpath often results in circuit instability, and please do not contact support about circuit issues if you set your line for anything other than the default profile. Thank you!

I'd like to see an option for an email notification to be sent if it syncs below a certain rate. I just noticed that I was synced at only 4Mb when my normal is 14Mb. I'd like to get an email if it syncs below 13Mb. I know it was at 14 before this last weekend but I don't know how long it's been at 4 since the graph only goes back 1 day.

I switched from Download to Upload and from Fast (apparently my connection had been set to Fast by default) to Interleaved.

Download went from 19.5 mbps to 14 mbps
Upload went from 1.3 mbps to 2.45 mbps

I will keep it this way for a while and see if I'm OK with the download reduction.

looks like fastpath brings my ping down by 10ms! awesome.

though now i'll be watching my modem for a rise in transmit errors..

On my bonded Fusion:
Annex A:
Line 1 is up and in sync at 1273kbps up and 22975kbps down.
Line 2 is up and in sync at 1273kbps up and 20477kbps down.

Annex M:
Line 1 is up and in sync at 2317kbps up and 19003kbps down.
Line 2 is up and in sync at 2320kbps up and 18163kbps down.

After changing with Annex M from Interleave to Fastpath:
Line 1 is up and in sync at 2328kbps up and 18531kbps down.
Line 2 is up and in sync at 2332kbps up and 17685kbps down

Ping times in Interleave:

120 packets transmitted, 120 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 20.076/22.377/25.191/1.226 ms

Ping times in Fastpath:

last night (i think) i got switched back from fastpath to interleaved without my intervention.. is it switching back to default in some cases like on resync?

i do see an abrupt change in the graphs last night at about 2/5/2014 01:30

Could be. We run a performance optimization (PO) process each night, and on circuits which are unstable the first step is to enable interleaving. So, it's possible that the expert system diagnosed your fastpath configuration as being unstable, and decided to begin the process of performance optimization.

I'll talk to the team here and see if we can exempt lines from the PO process where the customer has made an explicit adjustment, even if it creates circuit instability. This may or may not be possible (or even desirable), but we'll investigate and report back.
