I've installed Sonic's OpenVPN on Mac. The GUI saves my username, but not my password, which is a nuisance.

How (where) do I save my password?

(I noticed the install copies (for some reason) a client.ovpn file in the downloads folder, but the vpn doesn't seem to use that file. There is no ovpn config file in the /Library/Application Support/OpenVPN)

that's the way ovpn login works- same thing happens on iphone and windows.

That's neither helpful nor true, is it? Apparently, some OpenVPN implementations do support saving passwords, see https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/h ... d-password or https://help.anonine.com/support/soluti ... tic-login-.

I can't figure out how this works in the OpenVPN implementation that Sonic uses. I assume it is possible (and if not, that would be a horrible design decision).

You could always use an alternative client like Pritunl that will allow you to save your password - that's what I do.

I'm also looking to save my user/password for the Mac version of sonic's vpn.

I can't find the openVPN connect config file to alter ala https://forums.openvpn.net/viewtopic.php?t=11342

And I can't successfully import the sonic profile and/or url for pritunl.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
