Shell's customer home directories are mounted using sshfs to a special gateway file server host. Turns out we can improve the performance of that gateway host with some configuration changes.

Trying to make those changes work might cause the gateway file server to have hiccups, so I'll be doing this in the wee hours of the morning. It might also necessitate a reboot of the shell cluster, but I'm going to try to avoid that.

Other than all that, how has the shell server been acting?
