I have Sonic.net Fusion DSL in Berkeley. Can anyone recommend a good DSL filter which splits the signal into DSL in one port and and a voice line in the other port?

Our equipment self install kit includes a splitter and multiple filters. But, if you need more, you can find DSL splitters and filters on Amazon. Any modern one should work just fine.

How about a recommended whole house splitter? I always cobble one up out of a regular splitter, but it always feels janky.

I don't have any specific experience with any particular outdoor splitters - maybe Google around a bit? Here's what I found: http://www.homephonewiring.com/materials-a.shtml

I'm using a CP-V413WT at my phone line junction.

The specifications are close to the best that I could find and it's a clear winner on installation speed. Keep wire pairs carrying DSL gently twisted together when installing so that they may carry high frequencies. Don't twist tightly, but just enough to hold the two wires in a pair side-by-side. Phone companies will often untwist over a foot of wire then smash it into a ball.
