OpenVPN on Windows, why have to connect twice? (due to expiration)

Installed OpenVPN on windows to connect to Sonic VPN.

I think I imported my username profile but, alas, the password is never filled.

So I right-click 'Connect to openvpn.sonic'... and the thing displays the Window with Username-filled in and empty password. So I enter password... the VPN immediately comes back with : Session expired,

..enter password. (again)

Why...? Why enter the password twice?
