Hi,
I have this ZYXEL router with a static IP but I cannot get the NAT to work. Note I am testing the connection from my AWS server, not from my office computer.
Say my static IP from Sonic is 2.2.2.2 and my local web server IP is 192.168.1.100. both using port 3000
In the NAT configuration panel
1) I pick Web Server from the drop down menu;
2) Enter 192.168.1.100 as "Server IP"
3) 3000 for External Port Start/End and Internal Port Start/End
4) Enter 2.2.2.2 for "Remote IP"
Doesn't work. Connection Time Out. Now I switch 2.2.2.2 and 192.168.1.100. Doesn't work either.
What's wrong? I can ping the 2.2.2.2 from my AWS server.
PS: I am shocked to know the ppl take my call to the support line is NOT trained for NAT.
