I recently bought and installed a Netgear WN2000RPT v2 wifi extender to get a wired port for my linux desktop. I also connect using XP from an old laptop.
When I try to get mail using evolution on Fedora, I get 'Could not connect to pop.sonic.net: Host lookup failed: pop.sonic.net: Name or service not known'.
I get a similar message when I connect through the extender using wifi on my laptop.
If I connect directly to wifi on the sonic dsl modem/wifi, I get mail no problem through outlook. I think this is a dns configuration problem between the extender, and the sonic modem/router, but haven't been able to resolve it.
Any advice?
