Fiber in Mountain View

I currently have Fusion and am getting around 6mbps (I'm 6,700 feet from the CO) and am really happy with the service, though I wish it was just a little faster. Anyways, I was just wondering if you guys had plans to run fiber on the peninsula? The speeds of Comcast are tempting, but we have enough bandwidth to get 1 HD Netflix stream and the price here is right... but it would also be nice to have some more bandwidth to work with

We are currently engaged in splicing operations in Sebastopol, and permitting work for San Francisco - these are our two pilot projects. After those are a bit further along, we will be announcing our next steps in the deployment of fiber.
I can say, we will be using Fusion uptake as a primary guide to fiber deployment, as this helps us manage our investment risk.

Will there be fiber in Russian Hill-San Francisco, and would it cost to upgrade?

We are working on a pilot in a small region in the Outer Sunset - that's the only area we have made tangible progress on to date.
