DG834G wan uptime

My first post ...
I wonder if someone can comment on the WAN Uptime on my DG834G (dsl modem plus wireless router with latest firmware). The LAN and WLAN uptimes are in hours.

The WAN uptime is very short/brief, just a minute or two then resets back to zero and counts up again.

The internet connection seems OK, no complains, and speed is 12-13 Mbps down.

For a lack of actual retrains on your line (which would knock you off the 'net while your modem reconnects), my first guess would be that the device is measuring its uptime since it last renewed its DHCP lease. We have a lease time of five minutes, so every two and a half minutes a well-behaved DHCP client would attempt to renew its lease.
