I'm seeing Sonic and Bronco trucks around Berkeley and hear reports of crews working in the areas formerly held up by permit issues! Congrats on getting past that hurdle.

Now that construction has started again and you've had a couple weeks to reset your planning, wondering if you've got any updated projected dates for these areas that you're able to share? Specifically interested in FDA 27B.

Thanks!
David
This morning, I spotted a Bronco bucket truck working on the pole at Allston & California (LCP for FDA 27C). Don't know whether Bancroft & Cal. (27B) has activity as well, but things are starting to happen in our immediate neighborhood.

Ooooh...great to hear! Thanks ChrisW.

I walk my dog by those poles every night and look up hoping to see a box or some evidence of work. Perhaps tonight there will be something! (BTW, do you by chance know where the LCP is for FDA 27A? Methinks that's the one at Bancroft/Grant but not sure.)

I haven't spotted a notice for 27A, but I know it's not at Bancroft/Grant. As I recall, that's FDA 25 or 26, something like that. And Cal./Carleton is FDA 30.

We've seen several Bronco and Sonic trucks working on the poles around the Chabot Rd/Ross St area over the last couple of weeks, and yesterday found a door tag from LMI offering fiber on the same terms that we were offered from Sonic way back when fiber was first announced.

I understand LMI resells service from Sonic in some areas - is that what's happening here?

My Sonic preorder was cancelled in West Berkeley because Sonic stated they could not build. (Corner of Grayson and San Pablo).

With these new developments does this mean Sonic is once again building to provide us in West Berkeley with gig internet?

Street View appears to show underground service on that stretch of San Pablo. If the service to your residence is coming up from a conduit, rather than down from a pole, that may be the problem.

Hi Dane,

I'm excited to finally get Sonic fiber! Seems like FDA 13 is very close to me, but it is not quite far enough West. Any update on the area bordered by Chabot to the North, Miles to the South, and west of Clover. You have been doing a ton of work in that area, and there is a large new piece of equipment on Chabot and Presley, so I imagine it has to be close. Thanks in advance, and we really appreciate your updates on here. It says alot about Sonic's approach to customer service.

I don't have any specifics for the area you are in, where we were stalled on construction while waiting for permits. As you can see from all of the trucks and construction activity, we're moving fast there now, and we'll get everyone connected as fast as we possibly can!

Ok, I appreciate the update. We are actually in Oakland, so I didn’t realize we were subject to the same permitting issues as Berkeley. Can you please advise the FDA that we are part of at least? I’m less than a quarter mile west of FDA 13 (and East of College) if that helps.
