Absolutely, Mike. No one should fault Sonic for the unpredictability of Berkeley's permitting delays.

After reading this, I drove by Grant/Addison Friday morning and saw Sonic crews out in force. Three Sonic bucket trucks at the corner, a splicing table set up on the sidewalk, and another bucket truck just down the street on Grant, working on the cable. I didn’t stick around to inquire, but it looked like a regular beehive of activity.

I went back again on Saturday and it looked like they’d wrapped it up, with all the cables terminated in the cabinet. No way of telling whether work remains to be done inside the cabinet, but from the outside it looks complete.

That’s one down, with more soon to follow, I hope.

Just 3 blocks from me, I'm so happy!

Oh, and I see the Sonic cables on my poles are super-easy to identify, with occasional orange bands with black "SONIC" on them.

Yeah!!! Oh, I saw a small assembly of bucket trucks on the corner of Addison and Spaulding yesterday installing cables and a terminated cabinet there as well on 6/26. Go infrastructure!! Sonic rocks!

I can't wait for this service to get in down here in West Berkeley for my business.
We've had sonic fiber at home for just a little over a year now, and it is the best, no contest.
Just had to hassle with Comcrap again due to overpriced, poor service.

And yeah, Berkeley zoning and planning is where projects go to die.

And now the Sonic Flash Mob has descended on California and Allston, the LCP for my FDA! Driving by, late this morning, I saw bucket trucks, a splicing table, and a crew at work.

One step closer to fiber! Go, Team!

I wonder how far behind the crews establishing these cabinets, might be the crews bringing fibre to individual subscribers?

I would encourage you to have low expectations since I'm still waiting over here in West Berkeley even though all the physical infrastructure I can see has been fully set up for a month+ (i see cables, cabinets, loops of fiber etc.)
