That’s what we do - due to spam relaying, all internet access providers started blocking port 25, we do this on both Fusion and Fiber.

My Fusion port 25 isn't blocked. Are you saying you do this in the router already?

Dynamic IP Fusion has port 25 blocking.

Is that inbound only or outbound too?

i.e. with fiber will i still be able to connect to an smtp server on port 25 as i can now on fusion static ip ?
I have not checked recently but i think my solar monitoring still needs that. And i think i asked for it to be enabled when i was still on dynamic IP.

I do not need inbound 25 as i am not running my own mail server but i see how some people could want it.

It’s both directions. Mail has moved to authentication, due to spam.

Hi, ist there a option to get a static IP when I change to a business package for gigabit fiber? What would be the price? Thanks!

We do not offer Static IP on Fiber. Depending on what you are doing on your network, DDNS may meet your needs.

I'll add my voice to those requesting static IP on sonic fiber. I was really excited about the possibility of ditching comcast, but I really would prefer to not use DDNS. Just like with comcast, I'd be willing to pay extra for a static IP, call it "business fiber" or "premium fiber" or whatever. I think there are a few of us waving money in the air hoping you'll take it!

You can pay $5/mo with a virtual host provider to run your own smtp relay with inbound port 25 open, and forward to your email server on gigabit fiber.
