Would really love to see some kind of fiber come to residential Redwood City. Nobody seems to offer residential fiber around here, AT&T Fiber is the closest but apparently doesn't serve my address.
Someone (ATT I think) came through here last month stringing cable along Sapphire north to Alameda de las Pulgas. Today I plugged my address into the Sonic availability checker and it reports 50Mbps, whereas a few months ago I think it reported "up o 20", i.e., DSL. Coincidence?
Wish we had some visibility into the fiber plant buildout plans.
