I use a Sonic SmartRG router as the main router (its connected to the outside world). I run ethernet to another router which is in bridge mode. The bridged router is not working properly (in bridge mode). I notice the SmartRG has a tab called Wireless Bridge (under Wireless/5 Ghz) Do I need to disable bridge restrict to make the bridged mode work? I tried it but it didn't seem to help.

Thanks

Can't you use the router as a switch instead?

Can you elaborate on how I would use it as a switch.

Thanks

If you use LAN ports on both the SmartRG and your other router, the resulting network will all be on the same subnet. (The WAN port on your other router would be left empty.) I believe this is what Joey is referring to.

If you do this, it's probably best to turn off any DHCP service on your other router.
