FTTN = Nope, you have to use the rental.
I think DSL might be ADSL actually but I have not kept up with the current stuff being used since I am on FTTN.
VDSL = Likely to be very few options that work for a bonded connection but I think there are recommendations if you search the forum.
If you were to post your current modem stats then people might be able to tell you which you are using. I am on X1 FTTN and I am under 1000 feet from the node, so mine looks like:
