These postcards came in the mail today, south Berkeley neighborhood...could it be that fiber is really coming?!?

We’re working with the City of Berkeley on Gigabit Fiber expansion efforts, but do not have details yet on timeline or service availability. News shared here as we have it.

Received yesterday in 94702 and I could not be happier.

... unless I receive a notice at some point that says we have a timeline for access. Oh please oh please oh please. :)

Also received in North Berkeley (Westbrae area). Is there anything that needs to be done contacting City Council members or others in the city to speed up the process?

Got one in the berkeley hills 94708 near euclid near keith, too. woohoo! the copper for DSL up here is crap and it's 8500' to the CO (Solano Ave?)

I got one in N. Berkeley too 94707. Not feeling optimistic. We don't have utility poles, our neighborhood has already been undergrounded. Am I out of luck?

Afraid so, likely. We were required by the City to notice anyone within 500' of planned construction, so there are locations "around the corner" from construction that will get notices but which we cannot serve. This is why the notice text caveats that service may not be available.

I won't get upgraded yet I still had the same rate increase. Doesn't seem right.
