Our house hunt is coming to a close, and the new location
is listed as qualifying for Fusion, albeit at a fairly long
reach.

I want to start off with the bonded service, and want
to understand the technology behind the service. Is
it using G.998.1(ATM) or G.998.3(TDM) to accomplish
the bonding? The forums do not seem to have that
info, and the FAQ is also silent on the topic.

Part of the reason for asking is just curiosity, the other
is I would prefer to use an enterprise-class peice of gear,
like member using the Juniper, and knowing the specs
makes shopping much easier.

Our bonded Fusion product is ADSL2+ with ATM G.bond. A bonding CPE is included with the service - you could certainly replace it with something else, but we wouldn't be able to provide any support.

I plan to start with the provided CPE, and am not at all expecting to
have any support beyond 'the line is up and bonding is enabled, good luck'
Knowing which standards are used greatly increases the likelyhood of
identifying the right gear.

I've been on the DSL product for about two months and have been pleased
that when I call support they actually know the 'techie' details behind their
product and can speak intelligently about it once they detect that I also
know a bit more than normal about the service.

Thanks for the quick response.

It's so refreshing to deal with Customer Service when the techs are trained and empowered to make judgment calls whether to divert from the script when it's appropriate for the situation.
