Plus a $7 modem fee, and local franchise fee. And what happens at month 13?

- I have my own modem
- I don't see any fee on my bill yet

It's around the same price I'll be paying for line-shared DSL.

The franchise fee might only be charged to customers who have TV service too, I'm not sure.

Regarding this comparison, is this for an AT&T phone line plus DSL, or are you comparing to Fusion Broadband+Phone?

Oh, one more item to note: the broadband there costs more if you are not a TV subscriber.

This would be the price of regular Comcast, which has a 250GB cap/month. How strictly they enforce the cap is dependent upon your node's subscription density.

Not to mention that Comcast's "cure" for exceeding the cap is one warning, followed by a disconnect for one year.

Just be sure you don't back up your computer!

This all great info. I just closed on my dream house and placed my order
for bonded Fusion, but received some disapointing news. It seems that
when the single line price dropped the the dual line with a static IP
was removed as a residential option. Since it is the only way I can
hope to get decent performance at this address, but went up by
50% with much higher install and activation. That puts the Comcast
business service in the same ballpark, but I'd have to do business with
Comcast...

My order is placed since I need service and want it to be from Sonic,
but I need to go inform the CFO of the budget slip...

About static IPs, I just have legacy ADSL1 and my IP has not changed since I first went to Sonic 10 months ago. For all intents and purposes it's a static IP. But dyndns takes care of the IP changing.
