iPod touch mail

I'm trying to set up my mailbox on my ipod touch. It says to choose between either "IMAP" or "POP." I put imap.sonic.net as the host names for the incoming and outgoing mail servers but it wouldn't go through. Is there any settings I need to change for my sonic account for this to work? Am I doing anything right? I feel so lost! Thanks.

Did you enter your proper sonic user name and password with the IMAP account settings as well?

Outgoing mail server name is mail.sonic.net. Refer following Sonic wiki page.
