Been a Sonic customer for 16 years and never had one problem until attempt to switch over to fusion. Got a streaming TV device for christmas; needs 3 Mbps for standard films, 6 Mbps for high def. My network was 1.34 Mbps so sonic suggested upgrade to fusion. Scheduled to take place, only supposed to take 1-3 hrs max. On scheduled day, no dial tone, no internet access. Ditto for FOUR more days. Turns out ATT made switchover to wrong house. Now corrected and fusion switchover completed. My old download speed 1.34 Mbps, with fusion now 2.21 Mbps. Are you serious?? an increase of less than 1 Mbps? Anyone have suggestions? Is old dsl modem the problem?? Other factors? I'm clueless and beyond bummed out. Do **NOT** want to switch to cable.
Hey there,
Fusion uses a new type of DSL connection, ADSL2+ :

If you have an older modem, then it MIGHT be capped at around 3 Mbps. BUT, there could be other factors. Line quality inside your building is another one. But 1.34Mbps second is quite slow and could be an indicator that possibly you have line quality issues.
Do you have an old modem? Hopefully some of this helps you....
