I noticed a USB 3.0 port on the PACE 5268AC router. However, I don't see any configuration settings for it.

Is it possible to use the USB 3.0 port or is it just disabled in the firmware? Just curious if you can use the port for a hard drive.

The USB ports in the older 2wire gateways were for connecting to PCs that didn't have ethernet. Some ATT forums state that it could be used to charge devices. Most likely there's not any good use for the port. If you plug in a portable drive, does the USB light turn on?

Here's the manual: https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/GetApplication ... id=2257560

Go to https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ ... Search.cfm and enter GPR for the Grantee Code, click search. The 5286ac has FCC ID PGR5200AC--which should be written somewhere on your device by the model, sn, etc label. The manual would be outdated but better than nothing.

Not at this time! Something like this may be an option for future development.

I connected a USB drive to this port. System log show it getting recognized and mounted as /dev/sda1. So this port is active! Can't access this drive so far though.

hi were you able to mount the device.

I would also like to use this port for an external hd for all computers to use.
