Fusion behind RT (remote terminal)?

As a long time Sonic.net customer, I have been hampered to obtain higher speeds by being behind a RT (read no Fusion options). Is there any hope for us? I thought that I read about something like vectored ADSL2 that might be beneficial to us poor souls who have no chance for CO direct ADSL2+. Any updates to share?

Given that I am physically constrained to <3Mbps on ADSL, my options for faster connectivity are Comcast and AT&T Uverse. Not real appetizing...
