When is 1Gb fiber coming to tri-valley, specifically to East Dublin? Seems like it's taking forever to expand and has already been in the middle of nowhere Brentwood forever...

We've expanded significantly, with San Francisco, Berkeley and Albany all coming online in addition to Brentwood and Sebastopol. But not yet in Dublin. We are working to expand just as fast as our membership growth allows us to!

Just to update this thread - I live in Livermore and was able to put an order in for Sonic using AT&T's FTTH network. Comcast has lost all advantage now FTTH is available.

I initially went with AT&T actually before I noticed Sonic also offered service - but AT&T botched the install with the OLT not online yet after I spent a day at home waiting for the installer. I cancelled that order.

A new order is in with Sonic, and we'll see how it goes. My hope is that the OLT is online when Sonic places their order.

My only concern is how much Sonic might oversubscribe the area and impact internet speeds, given it is a very new area served. I don't normally use a full gigabit of bandwidth, but when I do, I want the full gigabit. :)

Moving from Brentwood to Livermore and found out that tri valley lives in stone age. When can we expect Sonic fiber? The address I checked offers no Sonic at all, bummer

We've made significant strides in our expansion around the Bay Area, with big deployments in the Northern portion of the East Bay (Albany, Kensington, Berkeley, Emeryville and Northern Oakland), and we are now expanding down the Peninsula (Burlingame, Eastern Hillsborough, San Bruno, San Carlos, Millbrae, Redwood City, San Mateo, Belmont, South San Francisco and Northern Daly City.) And I'm also excited to see the work in Petaluma, our first new North Bay city since our pilot project in Sebastopol.

But, we are not yet in the Dublin/Livermore/San Ramon region. Our ability to scale up is driven by membership scale - the more people who adopt Sonic where we do have service, the further we can afford to build out! So, your best bet is to spread the word about Sonic and keep rooting for us as we take on the incumbents and build a better internet. Thanks for your support!

One of the solaces of being stuck at home in these times is watching all the Sonic trucks roll by on my street. To borrow from the Italian, tutto andrà meglio!

Still waiting for Livermore.

FTTN is quickly becoming uncompetitive as far as pricing, even compared to ATT's own Uverse product that Sonic piggybacks on and resells.

I'm saying this as a day 1 subscriber if/when Fiber is available.
