DHCP lease time

Hi. I'm a fiber customer in Berkeley/Albany. Last November I noticed that my DHCP lease time had increased from ten minutes to six hours, which was nice because it meant I no longer lost the lease for short outages. Yay!

Last night there was a short outage and I lost the DHCP lease, so I looked at the lease time again. It's now only five minutes!

Speculation: Three weeks ago I got switched to a new Class-B netblock, 23.93.0.0/16 - maybe the DHCP servers in this block are configured differently?

Anyway, whatever the reason, it would be nice to switch the lease time back to six hours!

It's very cool that you now have a lease time of 6 hours!

I have been reluctant to even try using Sonic Fiber because of the short 5 minute lease time.

What would it take for someone else to get this long lease time?
