Moot point for me now, since I moved to Southern California. Not many choices for internet down here; maybe someday Sonic will expand statewide.

State wide, Nation wide! Our house in NOLA is on Cox. Hard to believe, but they are even worse than Comcast. Outages every single day.

+1

I have to admit that my cable company provider has few outages (knocking wood), and our HOA is locked into a 5-year contract with caps on increases. I'd still prefer to have Sonic.

May, is now the new estimated live date.

Go live date is now June.
It has been this way going on for over a year now. Maybe change it to "sometime in 2023 or 2024."
Comcast is killing me.

I wonder if the city of Oakland getting hacked has crippled the permit process.

It has been over a year now. Any realistic update on a real go live date?

We received an update from the project manager yesterday that the underground section that was delaying our progress in you area has been completed and we are anticipating that we will be ready to go live next week. We apologize for the long delay and appreciate your patience.

I’m on Harrison Street a block up from Whole Foods. I’m presently looking to replace my piss-poor AT&T internet connection. Shall I hold out on the assumption that Sonic can provide access by year’s end, or should I yield to the Dark Side, AKA Comcast, as my spouse urges me to do?

It looks like we are currently only in the planning phase of our build out in your area so we still have a lot of work to do before we will be ready to install service. Unfortunately there is no way we will be able to complete this work by the end of the year. We look forward to providing you with our fiber in the future and appreciate your patience!
