Since I found out that I can use 10G, I researched about how to build my home network that can fully utilize 10G Internet.
( my current internet speed is 50Mbps - paying $55 with bandwidth limit )

I learned more details about these.
- Hub, Router, and Switch
- Cable type ( Cat5, Cat6, Cat6e, etc. )
- SFP, SFP+, SFP28
- DAC and AOC
- power consumption ( or heat ) in different cables ( RJ45 uses more power and creates more heat )

And, I thought about what I want to do with 10G with external services.
- getting fast uploading speed to YouTube / Cloud Service ( AWS and GCP )
- getting low latency / fast speed when playing game

And, I thought about what I have
- NAS ( 6 Bays, PCI 3.0, Cache, 1G )
- MacBook Pro ( WiFi ) - I will stick with WiFi
- Mac Mini ( 10G )
- Desktop ( 1G )

Based on what I want and what I have, I was able to find what I need to upgrade.
- Add SFP+ Ethernet Adapter into NAS and Desktop
- Buy 10G SFP+ Router
- Buy 10G SFP+ Switch

Let's see if I can make it work :D

what did you wind up using? did it work?
what are you doing for firewall?

It'd be :chefskiss: to have a shopping list of known-working hardware.
