Connection very slow today (hard wired to my PC)

1.2, 1.3Mb download speeds consistently

I rebooted the router, no change.

The problem is worse today (one day later). 0.8Mb download, 1Mb upload. I'm also contacting AT&T support (I have Sonic fiber to the node and DSL to the home).

Hey there,

I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing such slow speeds all of the sudden. Upon taking a look at your account's line connection, there appears to be a short/ground on one of the lines, which is causing the slow speeds.

I would try giving our technical support department a call when you are able to, so that we can do some quick troubleshooting to narrow down if the issue is happening on AT&T's external wiring or on your home's internal wiring. After that, we can dispatch out the appropriate technician out to go fix the issue.

I know my ticket with AT&T is open still.
In case data on today's performance is needed by AT&T while they work the ticket,
both up and down performance are now <1Mbps
