Hey there,
Love sonic had it while living in SF and just got a surprise drop of a 10gbps (yes 10 gigabit!) residential line in East Oakland just installed.
Looks like sonic is future proofing their lines which is awesome, but now I'm trying to take advantage of these speeds beyond a 1 Gig which eero is limited to both on wifi 6 (obviously) and ethernet wired ports. If I invest in a 10gbe switch can I plug my modem 10g line into it and then run the eero off of one of the ports so that I can get hard wired access to 10gbe without losing out on wireless?
It seems like the service sonic is offering is outpacing the tech (and prices for it) so I know im not the norm at the moment.
My goal is to have a hard wired 10Gbps access on my laptop and NAS but also run my eero pro 6 setup for wifi for the rest of my devices. Not many routers have 10gbe built in at the moment and barely 2.5g wan port. so the only solution I can think of is a switch, but wondering if thats an issue to run a switch in between a modem and wireless router.
thinking of this setup or something similar since 10gbe switches are cost prohibitive for the avg consumer

thanks!
