My Fusion X1 DSL service is running through a Pace 4111n router using 208.201.224.11 (legacy.ns1.sonic.net) as its DNS server. How does this differ from the 50.0.1.1 (ns1.sonic.net) DNS server that is mentioned in the Sonic Quick Reference Guide ( https://help.sonic.com/hc/en-us/article ... ence-Guide )? Is there any reason I should switch to the 50.0.1.1 DNS server?

It is correct that those are both Sonic DNS addresses but it does not matter which one you use. That being said if there is ever a problem with one of the DNS servers you can always switch it to a different one.
