I recently got FTTN installed, originally told that it would be 50Mbps. After it got installed, I looked at the AT&T modem's stats page, and saw the following:

Code: Select all

Downstream Sync Rate (kbps): 55226
Upstream Sync Rate (kbps): 6078

Downstream Max Attainable Rate (kbps): 103008
Upstream Max Attainable Rate (kbps): 19855

That made me think that AT&T had the ability to provision more speed. When I checked my Sonic members page, I saw the option to upgrade to 75Mbps.

Based on the modem "max attainable rate" speeds of 103mbps down / 19.8mbps up, is there any chance I could get all the way up to 100? Or is 75 going to be the max at my location? (Coming from Sonic's old school DSL at 25Mbps, I would be happy with either one, for sure.)

It looks like you're eligible for 75/8.
Unfortunately, even though your maximum sync rate is just over 100mbps, the maximum provisioned speed for the product is 75/8. If you're interested in upgrading, let me know and I can make sure we reach out!

Sounds good, thank you.

Yep 75Mbps would still be great, I plan to use the members page to upgrade.

Perfecto, that will get you going. We typically like to ask for the soonest available appointment for the install/upgrade and if the date doesn't work out call us and we'll get a better day.
