I have a SmartRG SR515AC router and it has 2 USB ports. I'd Like to access a USB drive over the wifi network. I have connected the USB drives to router and the router Admin page indicates that both drives have an "unknown" format (one dive is exFAT and the other is NTFS.

What is the next step?

Info on the USB function of that modem seems pretty scarce. Have you tried changing the format of the drive to Fat32 to see if its recognized? If it was me I'd go with a NAS. I actually have a couple spares... PM me if interested.

Hi all,

In the case of that USB port on the side of the SmartRG515, it will not work with a USB drive unfortunately. It is more or less a vestigial USB port. It will not allow for a USB drive to connect to it unfortunately.

Best wishes,
