Hello,

Will ordering a Sonic Pace 5268AC Fiber Kit for $9.50/month on the Sonic 1g/1g Fiber service fix my IPv6 6rd woes with Yahoo and Netflix?

I am using a DLink Wireless router running FreshTomato firmware 2020.7 and 2021.1. Both versions have problems reaching Yahoo websites all the time. I followed the Sonic 6rd instructions, and most IPv6 connectivity works fine.

Also, Netflix has some problems when Sonic IPv6 6rd is enabled as well. When trying to Cast Netflix from an Android device to Chromecast, the cast fails. Once I disable 6rd on FreshTomato, Netflix casting works fine again. Re-enabling Sonic 6rd breaks casting again. I'd try an HE.net tunnel, but Netflix blocks those IP ranges.

Other IPv6 services work perfectly fine, so I am concerned that ordering this kit for $9.50/month + shipping won't actually fix the problem.

Is there a way to verify anything will be fixed before moving forward with this additional cost? If it doesn't get fixed, can I return the equipment without any cost?

Thanks!

Currently IPv6 is not available with our Fiber services but will be in the future. The 5268ac might help in your situation once IPv6 is available with Fiber but we have no way to test that at this time.

Does your answer indicate that by renting your equipment, IPv6 would be completely disabled until your "fully supported" native IPv6 dual stack solution is implemented?

Thanks!
