Looks like Sonic's fiber ambition for San Francisco is 20-25% accomplished.
Is Dane's map still up to date?

Hi Hesse,
This particular map is fairly far out of date. It is actually not strictly official or curated/made by Dane. It appears that the crafty soul in question actually compiled publicly available data back in 2017 and then moved on to other projects.
We don't actually have publicly available maps of the current deployment. You can check your address at
https://sonic.com/availability to see if there has been any change in availability, we do not have any concrete plans for our Fiber expansion and are taking it one step at a time. This isn't to say that we won't expand to your area, just that we have not disclosed publicly if and when we will be able to.

That map was created using public records (encroachment permit filings) by an employee of a Sonic competitor in San Francisco.
No, it’s not accurate. It was pretty rough back then, because where we might be working overall doesn’t reflect actual parcel-level coverage, and it is now many years out of date.
And we did file extra permits to spell out a message on the street map to him before we knew who it was, but then “Dan” didn’t update and map our greeting. LOL!
