Hi folks,

I just got a SmartRG SR515ac and am configuring it to access my Synology NAS so it works as it was previously. Normally "mydomain.synology.me" in a browser forwards to the NAS login page (http://mydomain.synology.me:5000/webman/index.cgi), with various other ports doing other tasks like media access.

What's odd about the SmartRG is that it uses a kooky IP-address-based login format, whereby 192.168.42.1 leads to:

https://smartrg.sonic.net/prime-home/co ... 90666836A9
403 forbidden,
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /prime-home/control-panel/login on this server.
Apache/2.2.29 (Amazon) Server at smartrg.sonic.net Port 443

But 192.168.42.1/admin leads to the router login page. The same is true if I use the DDNS in place of the IP: mydomain.synology.me goes to the smartrg 403, mydomain.synology.me/admin goes to the router login.

If I go to more specific links e.g. via links previously saved in sync software and apps, like https://mydomain.synology.me:5006/music/ it returns "unable to connect". The NAS username & password combo are unchanged.

I had one of these routers with sonic a couple of years ago and am pretty sure I configured it successfully, I'm just not sure what I'm missing. I'm pretty sure I've setup the port forwarding properly in NAT port triggering:

This person: https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/1/post/122928 solved it by turning off CalDAV but I don't think that's the same. This person: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1526&p=9489&hilit= ... y.me#p9489 had issues with port 5000, Synology's main login port, but that was a different router and wasn't the same issue with SmartRGs weird renaming thing.

Any ideas welcome.

Advanced setup, LAN, standard mode instead of blocking mode? Make the NAS a static IP lease?
Advanced setup, NAT, should I be using virtual servers instead of port forwards?
Management, Access Control, Services, should I enable anything different to the defaults?

Thanks in advance!

Were you able to resolve this? It is not reassuring that the rg515ac is not working with a NAS.
