Just went through setting up an EERO 6, and the last step in Setup is to register with our Amazon information. Setup says Amazon owns EERO.

I skipped that and closed Setup, as I don't like Amazon's ubiquitous tracking.

The EERO seems to be working as expected.

Is there any need to have the EERO setup include having our information registered with Amazon, or any value to us in doing that?

Hello,

We can see that your eero setup is done correctly as we can see both eero devices and they are producing a good strong signal. You should NOT need to register with Amazon if you would rather not. This will not affect you connection in any way. If you start having trouble with the new setup, please call our support center so we can assist in any way. I hope this information helps. Have a great day!

Kind Regards,

OK. Cross reference to

for our ongoing saga of intermittent disconnects, which I won't blame on Amazon.
