Anyone else experiencing slow speeds using Sonic fiber in San Mateo? Getting around 150mbps lately: https://sonic.speedtestcustom.com/resul ... 594712a359

Hello,

Those speeds are the typical bandwidth for the 2.4Ghz band. The eero will pump out a 2.4G and a 5G signal. 2.4G will get around 50-120Mbps and the 5G signal will provide much higher ceilings. The average speed over the 5G connection is around 100-500Mbps (the big factor here is how strong the signal interference is in your specific area). My suggestion here would be to see if the device that you are speed testing from is capable of 5G. If it is not and it can only connect via 2.4G, that may be the issue here. This is common with some devices ie Roku, some smart TVs or even some computers. If you computer/device CAN connect to 5G signals, you'll want to test this connection at the source. If you plug your computer directly into the Fiber modem (bypassing your eero mesh) are you getting around 800-1,000Mbps there? I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
