I'm looking for some real world experience with Sonic's X2 DSL service, anywhere near Geary and Taylor streets. I'm currently using cellular only, so anything close to a reliable 10Mbs would be a step up, and I'd be willing to consider paying the god-awful high price for X2 - if only to avoid Comcast. Since Sonic's Availability page shows that I'm over 8800ft from the nearest CO, I'm not expecting much, but I'd love to see some experience-based real numbers. Thanks!

Hello!

If I had to guess (which I am at this point) You would see speeds around 12MBps download and 1.5 MBps upload. I hope this helps out.

Best Wishes!

if your lucky maybe you are near some of the new ultrafast 5g service through your cell carrier?

I think this is actually our chart - we don't generally publish this data, but one of our resellers has: http://www.dcn.davis.ca.us/~help/images ... stance.png

I'd guess 5-6Mbps download per pair, and about 1Mbps upload per pair. For X2, double those numbers roughly. But the good news is that it'll be a solid, reliable, and dedicated connection, with predictable jitter and latency.
