I have Fusion Gigabit, and the connection is great, and I would have never noticed an issue had I not had to ship my Google WiFi access points elsewhere. Wired connections, and wireless connections through that mesh network (connected to the BGW210 via ethernet), were always extremely fast.
However, now that my Google WAPs are gone, I turned on the 5GHz radio on this gateway to serve my wifi. It is really bad. I've run through several configurations on both radios. I've analyzed the local RF and found entirely wide open channels for each radio. I've used DNS over TLS from the connected devices, but nothing helps. My speeds are way slower with fewer pieces of equipment in the loop.
For example, if I load a reddit comments thread 10 times (which calls beyond the edge to get latest comments), 3 to 5 of those requests will hang for greater than 5 seconds. The others will load fully in under 500ms. This is from several devices, utilizing each radio.
Any ideas?
